Black Canary redesign

I love the Black Canary and I'm not exactly sold on the New 52 redesign. Its fine but I thought it coulda been better. I figured I'd take a quick stab at it. I dunno if its better but I like it. I took elements from the pre52 birds of prey costuming and added some of my own. quick 10 min coloring job to show my ideas for the color scheme.
